I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. My camera goes everywhere with me, and I look up a lot.
Prospective images present themselves willingly – each one a gift, whether I get the picture or not.
I’m more of a “let’s see what I find” than a “I’ll wait in a camera blind” photographer. I like hand-held photography in natural light, more than studio and tripod. I plan trips to get particular shots, but it’s much more about the surprises than the set-up.
During Covid I started walking more, mostly in the urban nature of Toronto’s city parks. I found that the closer I looked, the more there was to see, especially when it came to birds. Our feathered friends offer so much beauty, close to home.
This website is a way for me to share some of the images that I love. I hope that you enjoy them too.
